Dr. Martha Bauman Power and colleagues Drs. Eheart, Hopping and Racine received a grant from the W. K. Kellogg Foundation for $876,310.00 to establish Intergenerational Community as Intervention (ICI) as a viable option for addressing complex social challenges. The Motorcycle Safety Program is celebrating 30 years of operation this year. In addition to the being the longest-running, continuous grant at Illinois State University, the staff reached another milestone this year with over 10 million dollars in external funding. Dr. Barbara Schlatter was inducted into the American Leisure Academy as a Senior Fellow on April 26, 2006 at the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. Read more about it in the May 5, 2006 issue.
