2004 CAST Service Award

Dr. Frank Waterstraat, Associate Professor of Health Information Management in the Department of Health Sciences, has been selected to receive the 2004 CAST Service Award. Read more about it in the November 19, 2004 issue.

2004 CAST Teaching Award

Dr. Mark Temple , Associate Professor of Health Education in the Department of Health Sciences, has been selected to receive the 2004 CAST Teaching Award. Read more about it in the November 19, 2004 issue.

Technology

Dr. Rodney Custer, Dr. Chris Merrill and Dr. Michael Daugherty recently traveled to the University of Georgia for the initial official meeting of the NSF-funded National Center for Engineering and Technology Education (NCETE). Read more about it in the October22, 2005 issue.

CAST outstanding graduate student researcher award recipient

A graduate of the master's degree program offered by the Department of Technology has been selected by the CAST Research Committee to receive the 2004-05 CAST Outstanding Graduate Student Researcher Award. Gary E. Kayser's exemplary thesis research was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Paul Brauchle. Read more about it in the September 24, 2004 issue.

Family and Consumer Sciences

Dr. JongEun Kim was awarded an external grant from Lectra USA Inc which includes CAD software (U4ia) for design, valued at $2, 341,000. Read more about it in the December 03, 2004 issue.

Teaching effectiveness in CAST
