Transfer Students

The School of Information Technology (ITK) welcomes transfer students from community colleges.  We feel that the completion of a four year degree will enhance any student’s employability and enable community college graduates to avoid the “salary ceiling” that many companies have established for students without a bachelor’s degree.

To make entering the ITK major as painless as possible, we have established these web pages.  These pages are the result of a collaborative effort between ITK and the community colleges listed here.  Students who successfully complete approved courses (grade of C or better) at a community college do not need to repeat the classes at ISU.  We encourage you to use this information to establish a plan of study at a community college and at ISU.  Usually, a transfer student entering the ITK major at ISU will complete a bachelor’s degree in 4 -5 semesters.
