The center actively encourage students in the School of Information Technology to engage in information assurance and security research. The center provides topics, resources and, when available, funds to further student research. Student research is encouraged in the form of Masters theses, Masters projects, class projects, class papers, and peer-reviewed conference and journal articles. Collaboration between faculty and students is also encouraged. The center assists faculty in identifying important research questions and in obtaining grants and other research opportunities with the goal of producing scholarly, peer-reviewed conference articles, journal articles, book chapters, and books.
