One of the greatest challenges in the College of Applied Science and Technology is keeping up with burgeoning technology in all segments of society. In the college, agricultural students learn to use satellite-based geopositioning to distribute pesticides and fertilizers according to soil conditions and locations. Other students carry out computerized garment pattern layout and textile testing. Still others engage in research projects related to nutritional health, kinesiology, or criminal justice.
The goal of Educating Illinois is to promote a small-college experience with large-university opportunities. The College of Applied Science and Technology is one of the principal suppliers of large-university opportunities at Illinois State. The college offers its students a range of programmatic choices. It is responsive to the state's workforce needs and to the goal of educating citizens by providing in-demand majors and staying abreast of technology.
At the same time, the College provides a small-college experience. Attentive professors and graduate students work closely with students in small classrooms and laboratories.
We invite you to join us in redefining the future of technology by making an online gift now. To learn about other ways to give please contact Dorothy Witte, Director of Development, Liaison to the College of Applied Science and Technology.
