Faculty Professional Development Fund
The Associate Dean for Research, Dr. Deborah Gentry, facilitates the research efforts of CAST faculty in order to successfully achieve the research mission of the College. Faculty are encouraged to contact this office for assistance in locating internal sources of funding, in writing and submitting external grant proposals, and in preparing manuscripts.

Research Support Programs:
University Grant Writing Workshop
This workshop, typically held in mid-May, sharpens the proposal writing skills of faculty who have research ideas, but limited experience in proposal writing. Likely Submission Deadline: April 2008

The CRC is an appointed group of CAST faculty who work with the Associate Dean for Research to stimulate, coordinate and execute research activities in CAST. Investigators in the College are encouraged to utilize this team as they identify research topics and funding sources. The CRC also stands ready to review proposals and make recommendations for improvement prior to submission to an external agency.
