In an effort to recognize college and departmental excellence, the College of Applied Science & Technology offers a variety of annual awards to recognize both faculty and students.

Those faculty whose service accomplishments are unusually significant and meritorious among their colleagues in the College of Applied Science and Technology may be considered the CAST Outstanding Service Award. The guidelines for eligibility, application, and submission of service portfolios are similar to those requested from applicants for the Outstanding University Service Award. The winner of this award will receive $500 and will be eligible for future University Service Award nominations.
The Service Awards exist to honor and recognize faculty members who have demonstrated excellence in service to Illinois State University. By honoring such individuals, the University demonstrates its commitment to service as an activity essential to its mission and to its governance, provides incentive for faculty members to pursue activities that enhance the quality of their service, and emphasizes the importance of outstanding service.
